Parade Registration

Specifics:  Saturday, July 2, 2022 @ 9:00a.m. – Downtown Castroville

Theme: Proud to be an American

Thank you for participating in this FUN event!  Please see below for all information regarding participation in the parade. Registrants will receive staging/setup information via email prior to the parade. Parade registrants will be judged on the following categories:

a. Theme Adaptation                  b.  Patriotic Influence                         c. Originality

Participation is FREE. Trophies and recognition will be awarded in all categories.

Registration Check-In:

  • Registration check-in will be located in the front of Castroville Elementary at 1000 Madrid St. All registered participants will need to check in beginning at 7:00 a.m. and arrive no later than 8:00 a.m.  You will receive a colored entry number and will be directed to your designated street for line up.


  • Please see map for registration site, line up designations, route and conclusion locations.
  • Lineup will begin at 7:30 a.m. on your designated street and conclude at 8:45 a.m.
  • Late entries may participate in the parade but will not be judged.


  • Judging will take place near the starting point of the parade in an effort to allow all registered participants to display the full capabilities of their floats as they ride by during the parade.


  • Registrations must be received no later than June 26th to participate in judging.
  • Late entries who are not registered may participate if they arrive at Houston Square no later than 8:15 a.m.

NOTE: Floats must be pulled by another vehicle. A decorated truck would be in the "Vehicle" category whereas a decorated truck pulling a decorated trailer would be classified as a "Float."
I, individually, and/or as a legal guardian of a participant in the 4th of July Parade (Program) sponsored by the Castroville Area Chamber of Commerce (Sponsor) hereby release, discharge and agree to hold harmless the Program’s sponsors, volunteers, their agents, employees, officers, directors and successors and assigns, from all liability, claims, actions, demands, and judgments which, I, and the participant, may have, or which my heirs, executor, administrators or assigns may have claim to have against the sponsors, neighboring property owners, or their successors, from all personal, economic, statutory, property and common law injuries and damages, known and unknown, or injuries and damages to other persons, myself and my child caused by or arising out of any actions, I, or my child, and/or third person to this Agreement, might take relating to my child’s activities while participating in the above Program. I have read the above and understand this agreement and submit it on behalf of myself, individually, and as guarding of my child. This agreement is submitted in consideration of allowing my child’s participation in the program.
