Here is what the Chamber can do for you...
|
Advertising Opportunities
Web Listing: With a Business Membership you get a listing on our website, www.castroville.com that will include a link to your business’ website. Monthly reports are also sent to member businesses that receive 10 or more online referrals, which make it easier to track your success. Customers can access the website 24 hours a day to seek business information. The website is rapidly growing and currently averages over 2,000 hits a month!
Castroville Visitor’s Guide: Over 20,000 visitor guides are published and distributed every two years. Visitor guides are distributed to local businesses, hotels, and bed & breakfast establishments. This is a favorite with tourists and newcomers to our community and only members get visibility to potential customers through listings in the guide’s business directory. Advertising opportunities are available to Chamber Members at a discounted rate.
Membership Directory: Only members get exposure to potential customers through both alphabetical and categorical listings. Membership Directories are distributed annually to over 300 members. Only Chamber Members are given the opportunity to advertise in the directory.
Monthly Newsletter: Only business members are given the opportunity to advertise in the monthly Chamber Newsletter. The newsletter is an excellent way to promote your business among other fellow members and businesses.
Marketing: Only members can display their business cards, brochures, and other promotional materials in the visitor center located in the Chamber office. Membership information is dispersed through various communication channels such as visitor packets, relocation packets, and by walk-in requests. In addition, the Chamber can help promote upcoming events for your business through the website, email blasts, Facebook and monthly newsletters.

Networking Opportunities
Membership Luncheons: Members are invited to attend a monthly luncheon featuring a local guest speaker. Attending Member Luncheons is a great opportunity for you to address any business and community-related issues you might have.
Mixers: This is a popular socializing and networking event sponsored by a Chamber Member at their business. Monthly mixers are a great opportunity to meet other businesses and community members. Chamber Members are invited to attend or host these monthly mixers.
Committees: An invitation to participate in chamber committees offers members an opportunity to develop leadership skills by serving in vital leadership roles that affect the Castroville Area Community. Serving on a committee can help build alternative network relationships with other businesses and community members.
Facebook: Visit facebook.com to become a fan of the Castroville Chamber of Commerce page and receive alerts regarding upcoming Chamber events.
Business Referral Service: Membership puts your business on the tip of our tongues! Each year, the Castroville Area Chamber of Commerce receives over 1,000 inquiries regarding various products and services provided in Medina County. We give Chamber Members preference to these inquires.
Membership Mailing List/Labels: Complete direct mailing information allows you to develop a database of business prospects. As a member, you are entitled to one free listing each year. Additional lists may be purchased for $15 at the Chamber office.
Free Small Business Consultation Services: In cooperation with the UTSA Small Business Development Center, free business counseling is offered to new and existing businesses. A business counselor will help you prepare a business plan that is unique to your business. Please contact the Chamber for more information.
Other Benefits Business Anniversary Recognition Program: Chamber Members are recognized for their years of service for milestone years.
Advocate for Businesses: The Chamber serves as an advocate for the business community regarding local, county, and state issues.
Your Voice in Government: The saying, "united we stand, divided we fall," is even more true today in this era of rising taxes and the growing list of legal concerns facing business owners. As a member, you have a respected and strong voice on issues through the Chamber's state and local lobbying efforts, and the activities of the Legislative/Government Affairs Committee.
